Dollywood is now officially open for 2021. This year will mark the 36th season of the park. Located in Pigeon Forge, Tennesse the park is happy and excited to welcome guests in this year.
With this new year comes new attractions and events that the park has put together. The new and added shows, concerts and culinary festivals will be available for those of all ages. The Flower and Food Festival the park is hosting will take place between April 23 and June 7. Guests of the park can enjoy over half a million beautiful flowers all shaped and sculpted into different scenes. There are butterfly umbrellas, animals and even one of Dolly Patrons mother. Guest will also be able to enjoy delicious food during the festival as well.
There is also a Melodies of Spring concert series. Featuring musical talent like Big Daddy Weave, I AM THEY, and Rebecca St. James. These musical performances will all be taking place in Dolly Patrons celebrity theater.
This summer there will be a Dollywood Summer Celebration between June 25 and July 31. There will be later evening and nighttime hours for the park. This gives the park guests access to a nightly drone show. The drone show features hundreds of drones that come together to create 3-D animations as well as fireworks. There will even be a late-night dance party complete with a DJ and dancers to help excite and get guests moving to the beat.
Later this year in the fall guests will be able to come to the Dollywood Harvest Festival. This will take place between September 24 and October30. Each evening the park will stay open later and later to give guests the chance to be amazed during the Dollywood Great Pumpkin Lumi Nights. This is where the park lights up from the glow of thousands of carved pumpkins.
Then to sum up the year during the holiday season guests can enjoy Smoky Moutain Christmas. This event is going from November 6 to January 2. There will be 5 million colorful holiday light on display throughout the park. There will also be amazing holiday food.
During the park’s offseason they worked hard on building new infrastructure and planning more events for the park. The enhancement of the guest’s experience was the main focus while preparing for this new year. There have been new rides and restaurants added to the park for everyone visiting to check out. Unfortunately, the only thing missing for the opening of the 2021 park season will be the founder of the park Dolly Parton. She could not be in attendance because she is waiting for her second Covid vaccine.
