Taylor Swift has now become the first woman ever to have won the Grammy award for Album of the Year a total of three times. The Nashville singer won album of the year for her most recent release, folklore. The album she made entirely in quarantine. Her albums 1989 and Fearless are what sealed Grammy victory for her the first two times she won this award. To win this year Swift had to beat out some really amazing talent like Post Malone, Coldplay and Jhené Aiko.
Album of the year was not the only award Swift was nominated for. She was nominated a total of five other times for Song of the year, Best Pop Solo Performance, Best Pop Duo Performance, Best Pop Vocal Album, and Best Song Written for Visual Media. The singer songwriter was also busy preforming a catalog of songs during the Grammy ceremony. Once again showing the multiple talents and diverse array of skills Swift has.
This latest Grammy win marks a total of 11 awards total for her. Another amazing number and accomplishment for he to add on to the resume. Next month she is scheduled to release her album Fearless and title it Fearless (Taylors Version). This coming as an effort on her part to regain some control of her music after the masters to her album fearless were bought back in 2019.
